Welcome to XX International Congress of Clinical Cardiology and Heart Failure, CardioS 2022, which will take place in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belgrade, Serbia, on April 8-9th, 2022. CardioS 2022 is scheduled to be a hybrid event, but it is our hope that we will have a chance to enjoy scientific as well as social interactions. Traditionally, Congress is organized by the Heart Failure Society of Serbia, Belgrade University School of Medicine, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology.
It is our particular pleasure that this year we celebrate 20th birthday of CardioS, and that the mission of improving education and expertise of Serbian cardiologists successfully continues. After two years of online Congress format, we made an effort to create an attractive program, which will be informative and clinically oriented. Added value of CardioS 2022 will be the Serbian translation of 2021 ESC Pocket Guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, which will be hadled to all participants of the Congress.
The Program of CardioS 2022 will have 14 scientific sessions, in three rooms, with eight Industry Symposiums. The participation is confirmed by 38 local and 18 invited speakers from 11 European countries. Dynamicity, interactivity, internationality and prominent educational aspects are still the major characteristics of CardioS 2022. President of the Congress, Prof. Petar M. Seferović, is also the Vice-President of the European Society of Cardiology, which makes Serbia highly regarded in Europe.
Advances in pharmacotherapy, interventional cardiology and application of devices in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, enables improvement of prognosis and life expectancy of these patients. Top experts from our country and abroad will present these advancements in attractive and pragmatic manner. Prof. Giuseppe Rosano, President-elect of Heart Failure Association of the ESC is the winner of Heart Failure Society of Serbia Gold medal for 2022 and a honorary guest of the Congress.
