We would like to cordially welcome you to the XXIV International Congress of Clinical Cardiology and Heart Failure, CardioS 2026, which is taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belgrade, on March 27st-28th, 2026. By proud tradition, CardioS 2026 is jointly organized by the Heart Failure Society of Serbia, Faculty of Medicine, Belgrade University, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology.
Continuing along the line of extraordinary novelties, this year CardioS will host the first ESC Summit of Eastern European Cardiology Societies, on March 27th, 2026. Academician Petar M. Seferović as a Chair of the ESC Task Force for Eastern Countries brings again an important meeting in Belgrade. This Summit represents a landmark moment for European cardiology, as the first event of its kind, reflecting a strategic commitment of Eastern Countries to strengthen collaboration, and amplify their scientific and professional voice within the ESC. In addition, the Summit will highlight a roadmap of further development of Eastern Cardiology Societies through the work on the unique publication, the Compendium of Eastern Countries Cardiology Societies. Both ESC President Professor Thomas Luscher and ESC President-Elect Professor Cecilia Linde, will be present at the Summit.
Two day dynamic scientific Program of CardioS 2026 will feature the latest progresses in European and global cardiology, as well as the most important new strategies in treatment of cardiovascular disease/heart failure. This will be presented at the interactive and clinically-oriented means providing to the participants updated cardiology knowledge, essential for the optimal treatment of their patients. Dynamic and direct approach, fostered by multimedia presentations will enable participants to apply the acquired information instantly in the clinical practice.
Many of the significant projects in European cardiology, led by Serbian cardiologists, came to fruition: European HF Survey, Central Eastern Europe QCC project and STRATIFYHF megaproject, and these results will be presented at CardioS. To improve the participant’s clinical skills, two training sessions will be organized: echocardiography workshop, and cardiac magnetic resonance workshop.
This year keynote lecture of CardioS 2026 will be delivered by the ESC President-Elect Professor Cecilia Linde. Professor Linde is also the Winner of this year’s Gold Medal of the Serbian Society of Heart Failure and the honorary guest of the Congress.
The Serbian Medical Chamber accredited CardioS 2026 with 13 CME points for the lecturers and 8 CME points for participants.
We are convinced that CardioS 2026 will meet all expectations by providing an in-depth insight into the controversies in European cardiology/heart failure, brilliantly enhancing valuable exchange of experiences.
