We cordially welcome you to the XXII International Congress of Clinical Cardiology and Heart Failure, CardioS 2024, which is taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belgrade, Serbia, from April 5th-6th 2024. The Congress is organized jointly by the Heart Failure Society of Serbia, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the Heart Failure Association of the ESC.
The main focus of the CardioS 2024 will be on the ESC Textbook of Heart Failure, published in November 2023, which is one of the major achievements of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC and the Heart Failure Society of Serbia. The ESC Textbook of Heart Failure represents a groundbreaking educational material. It is the result of a collaboration of the six Editors and contribution from 283 authors. The Textbook is published by Oxford University Press, one of the most prestigious publishing houses. A special session dedicated to the Textbook, will provide Serbian cardiologists with the opportunity to learn about its high educational value in advancing clinical knowledge and fostering scientific research.
Another innovative aspect of the CardioS 2024 is the presentation of the HFA Observe Survey, a major study of heart failure epidemiology in Europe, as well as the introduction of the project aimed at the assessment of the quality of heart failure care, the Central/Eastern Europe Quality of Care Centres Project. The Cardios 2024 will provide four new Illustrated Guides of the Heart Failure Society of Serbia, and will give insight into the European megaproject, STRATIFY HF.
A notable feature of this year’s CardioS is the keynote lecture by Professor Marco Metra, President-Elect of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC and Editor-in-Chief of European Heart Failure Journal. Professor Metra is the winner of this year’s Gold Medal of the Serbian Society of Heart Failure, and the honorary guest of the Congress.
The Programme of the CardioS 2024 will encompass many emerging young experts in cardiology from Serbia and Europe. It will be presented in three auditoriums, featuring 20 sessions and 8 industry symposia. The Congress will host 83 national and 10 international invited speakers from 8 countries.
The CardioS 2024 will provide an opportunity to further advance practical skills in echocardiography by featuring two echocardiographic workshops. A session dedicated to heart failure nurses will address the strategies to improve multidisciplinary team collaboration, while a session dedicated to heart failure patients will assess their achievements over the past year.
The Serbian Medical Chamber accredited CardioS 2024 with 15 CME points for lecturers and 10 CME points for participants.
We believe that CardioS 2024, as one of the most beloved medical congresses in Serbia, will meet all expectations by providing a dynamic insight into the most significant advances in European cardiology, facilitating a valuable exchange of medical experiences, and delivering an intensive educational experience.
